Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Kanwar A — 17 May 2010
This was ridicously funny and so wrong on so many levels. A smart, twisted, disgusting, foul-mouthed, original and savage. Every single character was so unlikeable so disgusting you could not help but be turned off yet intersted in what happens next.
Fist quarter is pretty horrible and I was about to stop watching until one of the characters met their demise and then it just got funnier with Robin Williams basically becoming just as awful as everyone else, yet shockingly clever.
However, the one problem with the movie was the ending, it was anti-climatic, which I could have been more powerful or had a bit more of a sting This movie is not for all, it borders on funny and outrageously sinful.
Many people will find this off-putting, it is the embodiment of a dark comedy. But everyone gives an amazing performance whether you like it or not.
