Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Albert U — 27 May 2010
Welcome back Robin Williams. This year I welcomed back Adam Sandler too. And oh, well, would you look at that, they were both invited right back into my life with rated "R" movies. It's funny to let comedians be them self and make us laugh. This movie is written and directed by the squirrly annoying guy from all the Police Academy movies, Bobcat Goldthwait who evidently had Adam Sandler in his directorial debut called Shakes the Clown.
Williams is lost as a father, and has no direction with his masturbating 15 year, foul mouthed kid. Half way through the film (as if it weren't dark enough) some events change that favor William's character. His guilt will haunted him throughout the high school hallways where he teaches poetry classes.....I can not say anymore without giving it away.
RENT - "Shakes the Clown" and "Sleeping Dogs Lie".
