Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Tony's F — 10 Oct 2010

Worlds Greatest Dad is a Dark and I could say Sick and Twisted Drama/Comedy that Provides a well written Script and Great Acting by Robin Williams.

This Film is about a Man called Lance Clayton who is played by " Robin Williams " who has always dreamed of being a Famous Celebrity,- he actually could be famous as he actually has written quite a few Novels, the only thing is that he has never tried to Publish them because he dosent think People would enjoy them., he either throws them in the Bin or they are just laying around in his house.

" Lance " has a Son that goes to College, where Lance also works as a Poetry Teacher. Him and his Son dont really get along at all, just like his Son dosent get along with any of the Kids at School, he only has One friend so hes Pritty Much a Loner and the other kids just think hes weird.

One day at home unfortunatly " Lance " Son commits Suicide in his bedroom., But he actually didnt, the Son actually killed him self not by Purpose but in a pritty Twisted way, When Lance walks in his room and sees him Sitting there Dead, He than Cries for a couple hours or So, and than tries to Cover Up how his Son actually Died, So Lance actually hangs his son up by the neck to try and make it look like he Commited Suicide haha, You Probably have No idea what Im writing about but all I can Say that it is Some Trippy Movie, with some Fucked up Ideas!!!. After " Lance " switches around the Crime Scene, he than decides that if HE wrote a Death Note for his SON than that might make the POLICE believe that the DEATH actually was Suicide, So LANCE than writes a Death Note.

Is this all Sounding interesting, Or Confusing??., Well if it is You will just have to rent this Out and see what the hell im raving on about. After a Week or So, " Lance " finally goes back to School and Work, The Kids and Teachers dont really have much to say about his Loss,- As they never liked his Son in the First Place., Only the Principal and " Lance " lady Friend that he is Dating, are some of the Only People that are Sorry for his Loss,- The Funny thing is that the Lady he is dating, is Actually what caused his Sons death!!, Like I said WATCH THIS FILM AND FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS.

I wont talk anymore about the Plot or what happens, but I will say One thing and that is, It took his SON to DIE for LANCE to get his FAME and POLPULARITY that he has always dreamed of., Even tho I think the way he does get Famous might acutally be Pritty Cruel and bloody twisted, I still found it a Hilarious Film that was Interesting from start till Finished, Which Robin Williams Masterfully Acted and which the Writer and Director Masterfully executed. Worlds Greatest Dad wont be the best Film Youve seen in a while, but I think its One of the best Black Comedys out there atm, even tho its not overly Funny it still is worth watching if You are bored at home and have nothing else to do. So check it out Guys, Its much better than I thought it was going to be, and Plus I think its a very Original Movie that throws us very Original and Clever Ideas.
