Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Christian C — 11 Sep 2011
It gets off to a really slow start, but once it gets moving, it's a hilariously dark, biting satire on the effects of death on society and a surprisingly deep look at the question of whether to lie and live a fake life when it benefits others or to be true to yourself no matter the consequences.
Add in a fantastic performance from Robin Williams as well as a hilariously over-the-top performance from Daryl Sabara (if maybe a bit too drawn out) and you have an extremely effective, hilarious satire on society in mourning.
