Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Geoffrey T — 11 Apr 2012
This is one heavy, pitch black comedy. I really enjoyed it, but I think it would send sensitive people running for the hills. I think it's appropriately subtle and seamless in its approach to satire while maintaining that strange mix of comedy/dread.
When the first few lines make reference to Hemingway "trying to scratch an itch in the back of his head with a shotgun," you know if you can survive or not. Good film.
