It's absolutely hilarious, but in the most subtle way. You find yourself not laughing quite often during the actual film, but once you see that satisfying ending, you realize how incredibly hilarious the film was.
Blend that in with fantastic performances, a smart script and fine direction, and you get possibly one of the best dark comedies of 2009. A must-watch for Dark Comedy/Robin William fans.
