Review of World Trade Center (2006) by Josh G — 11 Jan 2010
'World Trade Center - A film By Oliver Stone' is a film by the famous director Oliver Stone (Who does a lot of Drama & True Story or true event films). The film is mainly about the day of 11th September 2001 or 9/11 (8 years ago, but the film was made 5 years ago after what happened, it about a true story of 'courage and survival' of those who lost their life from the terrorist attack of 9/11 and the New York Police and Fire fighter who tried to save the people from the twin towers (which are mist by a lot of people, also me & my family and would have loved to go and see them). The people who lost their lives in that day will be remember by their family and friend, but as well worldwide as I was just 10 when it happened it hurt a lot of people worldwide and will never be forgotten and will always be remember and to the terrorist who planed and did it should all burn in hell for what they did and for the people on the planes and in the buildâs must have been scared shitting them self and I feel there pain. The why I think of this film was made to early for the American and worldwide for this film to be 5 year since it happened as a lot of people heart are still hurt by that day and should have at least waited for 2020 t0 2028 to bring this kind of film out as it was too early to do soo. The Tagline "The World Saw Evil That Day. Two Men Saw Something Else" which is very good an heroic, it's a Drama/History film which its true to the real life stuff and brilliant, but again was made to early.
This movie is spine chilling, scary, heartache, upsetting, emotionally, terrifying, Heroic, courage, amazing acting & brilliant on the basic on the true event that happened on 9/11. There are decent special effect in the movie and you can tell that the twin towers has been used by its original footage and from inside all special effects. The film can be slightly off-putting, but has high powerful element toward the Drama, History & true events element.
The acting is soo brilliant, emotionally, heartbreaking & there best dramatic performance ever and have truly out done them self having a survivor cast line-up. Terrific acting by; Maria Bello, Michael Pena, Anthony Piccininni, Jay Hernandez & Maggie Gyllenhaal and Nicolas Cage was having his average acting in this film (How could he with his wooden performance in such a terrifying true film). The film is a bit long and care's a on a bit on the cops and stuff, but also can be a bit boring as it does go on, but it such a powerful film with lot true acts and event that happened that day, this film made me cry when the terrorist flown the planes into the twin terror and when people died or got saved or in a emotionally state. The Director Oliver Stone is truly amazing he got soo much into this powerful movie he is fanatics at makes true story/events films he's genius and clever at what he does and I respect him.
The film was made on a Budget $65,000,000 and had grossed worldwide at the Box Office $162,970,240 (Which was really well done at cinema) and grossed a lot more on DVD sales & rentals. The film has been distributed by Paramount Pictures and was garnered moderate critical acclaim by critics and audience and has been horned by audience, actors and people worldwide for its use of the biggest terrorist attack in US history (2,487 people died in 9/11 mostly people from America, but also around the world.).
Overall the film is speechless it done well for 9/11, world trade center , New Yorkers, America and all over the world as it was the most breaking an saddest news of 2001, decade 7 history of America history ever made from a disaster or terrorist attack in the country or the world. The film was made five years from 9/11 and I think they should have done it in at least 2020 or 2028 to give new generation to understand what happened (but they can also rent or buy on DVD), also I think United 93 was am much better film a took a lot of emotion and tribute to the people that fighted for their life's and save the white house (which was the only one that didn't get hit in 9/11 and I never known about this terrorist on 9/11 which there four but on 2 and half complete there stupid idiot of a nasty evil mission). The film is a trumpet and with be remember for ever (like 9/11 and United 93 film and event). The film has good acting, good new York ascents and good line up or plot and cast the film its self speaks about that day and that everyone was shocked and upset this is what the film shows also showing hope and the lives around us it try-jerking a brilliant ending to the film male you think what life is about and to stop all the haters and live in peace. RIP Who lost their lives on 9/11/01 always be remember and never forgotten for what happen, very clever how the film was done and said!.
('This is a visually stunning tribute to lives lost in tragedy, World Trade Center succeeds unequivocally towards the movie').
