Review of Working with Orson Welles (1993) by Ian R — 31 Jan 2008
Should be called "Who Can Suck Up To A Dead Orson Welles More?" Populated by little-known Hollywood types (plus Peter Bogdonovich in an all-teal suit), this doc is mostly filler. They run trailers for some of Orson's later work, including a 12-minute trailer for the very good "F is for Fake," seemingly to run out the clock.
Concentrating on the last 15 years of his life, not a single person has anything bad to say about him, even though his personality was notorious. This film provides no real insight, except for the fact that Orson loved to surround himself with unknowns that worshipped him.
Not much to see here...
