Review of Wordplay (2006) by Tony R — 20 Nov 2006
More films I have seen recently:
Wordplay - An interesting look into the fairly unknown world of crossword puzzle enthusiasts. In the same vein as Spellbound, it both educates and entertains.
American Dreamz - Hilarious premise. Great cast. Terrible script. Extremely disappointing.
Over the Hedge - A fun, family-friendly adventure following a pack of animals stealing food from humans for winter with great animation and hilarious voices from its human stars, Gary Shandling, Wanda Sykes, and Eugene Levy.
The Lake House - This laughably bad attempt at a Notebook-esque romance misfires in every direction. Keanu Reeves proves once again that he is a fucking joke.
Man of the Year - Robin Williams is so goddamn annoying. This confused film tried to be a political satire and a tale of intrigue (??) and failed at both. Not even Lewis Black could salvage this disaster.
