Prepare to be transported back to 1969. It's August 15th and the biggest buzz around is the music festival being held in Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm. People from all over are traveling the greatest distances to the farm in order to get a glimpse of one of the most important events in the history of music.

The event lasted for 3 days and over 500,000 people showed up to the festival. "Woodstock-3 Days of Peace & Music" will take you out of your seat and put you right in the middle of the Woodstock festival.

The movie is simply footage of the event consisting of mostly interviews and music performances. I expected this film to show me the event, the peoples reactions, and some music performances but what surprised me was that director Michael Wadleigh directs this movie with such passion and energy that many times I had forgotten I was just watching a movie.

This movie took me out of my seat and I reallt felt like I was at the Woodstock festival back in 1969. The only possible objection I can see with this film is its length of 3 hours, and yes, i'll admit, it's a long film (the theater I saw it in had an intermission) however what truly matters is that this movie depicts the Woodstock festival as it was and honors the event and the musicians who played there.

This film is definitely worth seeing not only for being a fantastic documentary of this legendary event but also for putting the audience right in that time period and accurately showing what it was like there.
