Review of Woodlawn (2015) by Chantel P — 16 Oct 2015
This movie could save so many marriages that are falling apart that had once thrived. The damage divorce does to a child not only affects their childhood, but their adulthood too. In most cases, we create what we are used to, even if it's not comfortable.
If this movie had been out 36 years ago, I would not have left my husband and the father of my sons. I would have prayed and let God do the rest. As I could not stop my husband from drinking and drugging which as my ex he still does, but with God in control of our marriage it would have been different.
He and I were raised in a strict religion that people outside our state call a cult. I left him to find one of them that I thought would be a better role model and father to our boys. I did find one and quickly remarried, it did not last as I found out that he was never home either as he was basically married to the church.
So again I was a single mother raising my boys alone. Now my boys are grown and going through divorces. If only, this movie had been out two years ago it would have probably saved both of their marriages.
If your married, going to ever get married, know anyone that is married please go see this movie it could save someone's marriage and a little boy or girl who don't even exist yet from doing what they are comfortable with and getting a divorce.
It only takes one person to take or to save a life. Let that one person be you.
