Review of Woodlawn (2015) by Jennifer T — 06 Feb 2016
It was hard for me not to focus specifically on the camera work on this project with friends (Dave Svenson, Brent Christy, and J-Rob) all working on the movie. It was a lot like "Remember the Titans", "Rudy", and "Facing the Giants" - except more blatantly Christian (almost to a fault).
Sean Astin's character, 'Hank', popped up from out of nowhere and ended up looking more like a magical leprechaun than the team religious leader. Entertaining, none-the-less, with a great 70s soundtrack and Jon Voight doing an exceptional job as "Paul 'Bear' Bryant".
Rating: 6.5 / 10.
