Wonderful film. Pacing is a little off in points, drags especially in the 3rd 4th of the movie, but tells a great story with a good message. Of course the critics hate it, it disagrees with their prejudices, so they will slam it.
Everyone I know who saw it enjoyed it, including teachers, who thought the portrayal of the teachers lounge and the discussions among the teachers was dead on. Interesting how quickly it disappeared from theaters.
