How a movie such as this one could be rated at only 33%, while 62% of the audience liked it, I don't understand. The critics who say this film has no "dramatic heft" weren't watching the same movie I was.

This film tried to see all sides of the questions it raised fairly, and I say that as a career teacher who belonged to a union for my entire professional life. Unlike so many Hollywood movies that don't show the problems of public schools today in a realistic manner, this film did, and had a good script and excellent acting by a great cast, too.
