This film was a welcome respite during a week I saw The Killing of a Sacred Deer, A Bad Mom's Christmas and Blade Runner 2049.
I didn't know anything about it other than it was two parallel stories from different eras, but I was able to follow it just fine. It was refreshing not listening to foul language, explosions, etc. for a couple of hours. I wasn't a huge fan of Carol, but I enjoyed this film.
