Review of Wonder Woman (2009) by Jeff A — 31 Jul 2010
I think that this movie has likable characters for the most part (I like the bookish Amazon, I can't recall her name though.) Top notch action with truly amazing choreography,.
A violent film but not in such a way that it comes off as humanely pessimistic, people die because they indulge in fighting with sword's arrows and other weapons with the intent to kill, itâ??s as real as it can be within its realm. Two different civilizations clashed in ideals and I think many characters expressed their ideals pretty well and I think in the end you see that positives and negatives within each.
I did feel that a few deaths (a small few) in some scenes felt a little odd from a circumstance and I was put off by the scene with Diana and Steve at the end.
Not too much that Iâ??d say is wrong this film. I love the positive ideals preached by some of the characters, but I donâ??t have the love for much of the aesthetics other than the technicalities of the animation.
I thought it was great to see one time but I don't think I feel the need to see it again.
