Review of Womb (2010) by Andy T — 01 Oct 2011
The long drawn out visuals and slow pace will put off most audiences that expect action and explosions with science fiction. This shows, much as Solaris did, that human centric science fiction is not only riveting, haunting and memorable, but also intelligent, ecouraging discourse into current issues and ideas.
This is a movie made for an intelligent audience, one that uncompromisingly refuses to conform to established standards. It is these sorts of movies that are pondered over and studied for decades to come.
