Review of Woman in Gold (2015) by Kate N — 29 Mar 2015
I loved every minute of this movie. A true David and Goliath story with the quest for justice at its core. Helen Mirren is outstanding as Maria Altmann who must face her traumatic past and that of her family in order to continue her quest.
The flashback scenes of her escape from Austria are especially compelling. Ryan Reynolds plays the gutsy Randy Schoenberg just right; playing it cool when need be and explosive when pushed to his limits.
This is an important glimpse of history that should be seen by all.
