WOLFCOP review by: Mikey Smith "FAT Mike".

An alcoholic policeman, Lou, realizes that he has been turned into a werewolf as part of a larger plan. So he investigates with the help of his partner and his friend. Lou becomes a better man, one transformation at a time.

WolfCop is a twist on an already favorite tail. The story is fast paced and has you hooked from the start. The cinematography is really well done and set the bar a little higher what to expect when watching a "B-Movie". The film has a great mix of gore, action, and comedy.

The cast isn't the most famous cast but they do one amazing job. Leo Fafard plays the main character Lou Garou/WolfCop, he hasn't been in much but you would never realize that. Leo owns this roll and keeps you believing in this story. Amy Matysio plays a police officer opposite Lou and really becomes her character. Jonathan Cherry, best known for his role in Goon, plays the crazy best friend, the chemistry between his character and Lou is timeless and believable.

The soundtrack is fresh and original. No songs that we have heard hundreds of times in other films which keeps WolfCop fresh. The practical effects are really well done and makes you want to see more. We've seen wolf transformation practical effects like this before, but in an age of C.G. it's awesome to see a heavy practical effects movie still being made and being this damn awesome.

From start to finish I had a grin from ear to ear and I couldn't get enough of this film. It has made it onto my favorites list just after one viewing and I will be showing this movie to everyone. WolfCop is independent movie gold, but this movie won't be for everyone with the mass amounts of gore, violence, sex and language. But this movie is right down my alley and I can't wait to have a copy of this film on my movie shelf.

So kick back have some fun and enjoy. Cheers and remember life won't suck as long as there is a good movie to watch.

10 out of 10.
