Tourists getting killed in unfamiliar places, sounds familiar? Pretty much in the same sub-genre as Hostel & Turista. Wolf Creek is based on true stories of two different backpacker murders in Australia.
Beautifully shot in the great outbacks of Australia, Wolf Creek takes a slow buildup to its 'encounter'. It might not be the kind of film that makes you jump out of your seat, or has the styrofoam-rubbing effect of Saw or Hostel. But the fact that it's based on true stories is makes it worth watching.
