Review of Wolf Creek (2005) by Sébastien F — 02 Nov 2009
Nothing special at all. This plot has been done to death in recent years and much better than in this one. It's quite slow-moving, with a lot of build-up, which is fine with me, if it actually goes somewhere, but in this movie, it doesn't.
There's just a lot of running around, with a few gory scenes threw in here and there, with really no story going for it. And another thing, the whole "based on true events" thing really annoys me.
It's very patronizing to the viewing audience when they do that. Just because tourists were murdered in Australia, they think they can put a whole different story together and just because it contains tourists being murdered in Australia they can call it a true story.
It's ridiculous.
