It's a bit of a slap in the face that the majority of critics are calling it a rip off of other movies, considering its based loosely on a true story. wolf creek is an adaptation of the true crimes committed by serial killer Ivan Milat in Australia.
He is still imprisoned in Western Australia to this day.
