Review of Wizards (1977) by Immortal Disciple — 09 Jun 2010
My father took me to see this in the theater when I was a kid. I loved it then.
Pretty basic animation but for it's time was the norm.
Wasn't all that bad.
Not Disney but more artsy if you will with it's use of actual live action films with diffusing color effects (Zulu was the one that stuck out the most for me) and WWII clips, mostly of Nazi Germany and Hitler.
Watching it years and years later, this could have been done much better. The story was there but seemed too rushed.
This type of story is very much in line with Heavy Metal Magazine and I would rush out to see a remake if it ever happened.
