One of the few courtroom dramas that manages to hold my interest all throughout its duration. Billy Wilder (one of my favorite directors) pulls together a slick combination of humor, mystery, excellent acting, and some of the greatest plot twists in cinema history.

My only complaints come from the romantic duo, who despite their reputations as some of the greatest actors of their time, give very melodramatic performances. Charles Laughton completely steals the show as a cranky, alcoholic barrister, and the other supporting players are entertaining as well.

All in all, an extremely well crafted crime film.
