Review of Witness for the Prosecution (1957) by Jayakrishnan R — 31 Oct 2014

Witness for the prosecution is a mind blowing court room thriller, I wouldn't call it a drama, well marked by tremendous performances from Charles Laughton, Tyrone Power and Marlene Dietrich. It's a shame that Charles Laughton did not not get top billing for a film in which he actually stars. I saw this film just when I was fed up watching horrible the acting of James Stewart in films like Vertigo, now I got a chance to see what the real acting in those days may look like. This film has a lot of pretty bomblastic twists and turns and culminates into an unbelievable ending.
