Review of Witness for the Prosecution (1957) by Jonathan B — 08 Jul 2008
A great script and a phenomenal performance from Charles Laughton make me want to give this movie five stars alone. Iâ??m going to bump it down to four because Tyrone Powers hammed it up a little too much, and while Marlene Deitrich gave a very good overall performance, her accent made me want to throw her under a train.
Some of the various twists in this movie were not that surprising overall, but they were executed in such a way that I was entertained none the less.
