A pretty good movie, but it didn't live up to the "classic" status for me. Maybe the movie mechanics utilized have become dated since its release, but the thriller aspect wasn't thrilling, the story was pretty weak, and the supposed "culture clash" boils down to borderline Amish exploitation.
I thought the whole forbidden love thing was well done though.
