This is a great film, subtle and moving. The quiet and gentle life of the amish community is such a strong contrast with the city and the violence is so much more devastating in that context. There is one great moment when Ford dressed in 'plain' clothes to look like the Amish threatens to strangle a woman with her own bra if she takes his picture.
The relationship between Ford and McGillis is full of tension. Really enjoy this film , whenever I see it.
