Review of Witness (1985) by Hugh J — 30 Jan 2009
You know him as Han Solo. You know him as Indiana Jones. Now get ready for trouble because Harrison Ford is John Book, a cop who's forced to be Amish. I did sorta dig the film for the most part but the middle section really slows the whole thing down and drags for a bit.
The nude shot of Kelly McGillis woke me up, though, and from there, the action picks up again culminating in a somewhat unconventional ending. It was tough seeing Danny Glover as the bad guy after just seeing the Lethal Weapon series but the dude sold it.
His was the only satisfying kill in the movie because the way Book takes down the other two guys was kinda silly. I also got a rise out of seeing Viggo Mortensen but this just wasn't my type of flick.
Ford's still awesome, though. Fucking loved it when he punched that asshole with the ice cream cone. Decent flick, it was worth a shot.
