Ford's finest hour as an actor. Kelly McGillis and Lukas Haas also deliver solid efforts in this culture clash story about a Philly cop hiding out with a child murder witness I. The boys Amish community.
It's tense, romantic, and rewards multiple viewings. There's a reason the screenplay is one of the most studied in film writer courses.
