1 hr & 48 Minute English Comedy from 1987 Withnail & Marwood are 2 unemployed actors in 1969 & take a trip to the british countryside which ends up marred by rain, alcohol & limited food, Frankly I'm bored watching after 1/2 hour, I was thinking of taking it out but figured I'd give it a chance.
. an Hour in I'm still not inti it but don't turn it off this is one of those 1/2 watch movies. The Only amusement maybe the guy in they suit (scrawny one) uptight, seemingly neurotic, & always smoking, meanwhile Uncle Monty fancies Marwood The calm casual one.
Sometimes I had to look at the name again as suit guy someties sounded like Paul Pettany's Bard (balladeer) in A Knight's Tale. AS I said there were a few parts that were sort of funny but not actually laugh kind of funny.
But then again American Humor & English humor are 2 different things. (tho I liked there version of the Dinner game (dinner for Schmucks better was funnier) so I guess something is lost on me. D.
