Richard E. Grant, Paul McGann, Ralph Brown, and Richard Griffiths ("There is, you'll agree, a certain 'je ne sais quoi' oh, so very special about a firm, young carrot.") dominate in this blackly comical, drunkenly surreal precursor to Terry Gilliam's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Griffiths, particularly, excels in one of the most repulsive performances in recent film history as Uncle Monty, a porcine, homosexually-repressed, Bard-quoting creature guaranteed to inspire gut-busting laughter and a fair share of nightmares.
