Review of With Six You Get Eggroll (1968) by Giffy G — 04 Dec 2008
I'm a big fan of the Doris Day/Rock Hudson romantic comedies, so I decided to give this Doris Day romantic comedy a gander... I've concluded that Rock Hudson makes the DD/RH movies worthwhile. I found both of my romantic leads lacking in charm.
I don't know what they saw in each other at all. Moreover, the ending was spontaneous and saccharine in the way that only Capra can get away with--and him only barely. The jokes were funny, but a good number of them were severely dated, especially the hippies.
Not the worst movie I've seen by a longshot, but barely entertaining.
