Review of Wit (2001) by Sean D — 06 Dec 2008
People usually run away from films that reflect traumatizing moments of their life...I welcome it. although my cancer was not terminal, so much of this film mirrored the last 8 months of my life. Amazing movie with amazing performances by all.
I actually found myself crying at the less dramatic moments - like when she was a child with her father, and when she was being read to by her old proffessor - don't know why these scenes moved me so much, but they did.
I wish I would have seen it in New York, but at the same time, I'm glad I didn't. I liked experiencing the film AFTER I experienced the trauma's of my cancer...
