Review of Wishmaster (1997) by Steve M — 21 Jun 2005
This series is divided into 2 parts, the good and the ugly. This part is for the movies that actually made it to the big screen..

The best of the series, usually the first always is, finding out the rules and story. Powered by an evil and rather grotesquely cool villain, it is a great gory horror film, kind of a be careful what you wish for message. This is not for the squeamish, but it is decent enough movie to rent..

The series lost a little bit of its thunder, adding some unneeded humor, but it kept the gore and the story together unlike the other sequels. This movie is just iffy, so the first is much better in my opinion..
