The "Be Careful What You Wish For" mantra doesn't work in a social media/popularity obsessed present day. Neither does this haunted antiquity Final Destination rip-off that follows every high school clichà (C) to a T.
If there was any upside, it'd be its young actors, especially Joey King, who has come far from Ramona & Beezus, and has a bright future ahead, hopefully without otherwise poorly executed horror movies.
