Winters Tale is a unique film that presents viewers with an unconventional storyline, but in the end tugs on the strings of your heart. Film viewers needs to understand that novels and movie scripts are two totally different things.

So holding this film to the same standards as the novel is not fair. I did not have the honor of reading this book before watching the movie and I am glad I didn't. I had no idea what this movie was about so I was able to see it with a clear mind.

By the end of the movie, my valentine and I were hit real hard in the feels. This movie presents the idea of the universe and how we are all different parts of it. The part we play in it is the answer to the universal question, why are we here? The fact that this movie was an extreme exaggeration of this point is probably what turns off a lot of people.

There is a magical horse, a demon, lucifer, and talk about reincarnation. Based off Some modernistic thinking, this is ridiculous and only part of dreams or worlds that don't exist. But that's what makes movies so special, you can transport your viewers to different worlds and use anything.

The only questionable parts of the movie was the casting of Will Smith as Lucifer and the hard to understand accent of Russell Crowe as well as lack of backstory between the angels and demons. I advocate this movie if you're an open minded person when it comes to the idea of destiny and true love.
