It's a bit unconventional. If you watch it halfway through you must find yourself thinking what the hell you're watching, but actually it all makes sense in the end. Of course, the gooey fantasy that fills the whole movie is not acceptable for most, but if you enjoyed movies like Stardust, this one will probably please you too.
It's not my kind of movie, but I actually ended up liking it.
