Review of Winter's Bone (2010) by Dev92 — 23 Aug 2012
This film was extremely well thought-out and executed but lacked the pacing which I enjoy in a film. It was very slow and monotonous, in the same way as No Country for Old Men, which I am sure was done on purpose but just stops me from giving this film outstanding marks.
It was also acted brilliantly, with John Hawkes stealing the show. Debra Granik did well in her first 'big hit'.
