Review of Winter's Bone (2010) by Youri V — 20 Jun 2012
Here's a movie which did a few things right. For one they hired actors who look the part. (well sans Jennifer Lawrence, she's a bit too pretty). Many of the small details of poverty stricken middle America ring true.
Not sure about the violence and revenge aspect but everything else felt spot on. Overall felt really real and well appreciated for it.
