A dark, dreary kind of movie. These people seem to have lost all Hope. Poverty and circumstance have all but won.
Ree is different. She will not stand by and watch their home be taken. I can't imagine a 17 year old girl being forced to be the strong one in the family and given no choice but to prove whether or not her father is alive.
I really liked this movie even though there was not a ray of sunshine to be seen.
