Utterly realistic and ritzy look into the harsh life in the ozarks where family connection doesn't prevent violence. Jennifer Lawrence is commanding and shows raw talent! Its very straightforward and doesn't try to go the cinematic route by adding too much music or overdone camera angles.
It's straightforward, and it's whats happening on screen that counts, and watching jen deal with it all is a force to be reckoned with!
