Review of Winter Sleep (2014) by Adam K — 01 Nov 2014
Ceylan's Chekov inspired domestic drama set in a remote but beautiful part of regional Turkey is compelling viewing despite running for more than three hours. A meditation on class, aging and the politics of relationships, this is a worthy winner of the Palme d'Or.
Highly recommended.
