Ceylan takes the composition and pace of his idol Tarkovsky and marries it with his most verbose and literate screenplay to recall the emotional intensities of Bergman. A slow burning drama that recalls Chekhov and Dostoyevsky that will reward with investment.
Beautiful, intense, thoughtful and thought provoking too.
