Review of Winter Passing (2006) by Carita V — 26 Dec 2008
Boogiepop Phantom >> Interesting idea but doesn't connect enough of the dots. At the end, we are left with a bunch of fragments with very little clue to how they go together and what the theme of the whole story is.
Winter Passing >> Minor but heartfelt and sweetly funny.
Sex Drive >> Quite hilarious, especially Seth Green. The plot lacks creativity as most teen/college movies do.
Quarantine >> Very effective suspense/horror film that sets the mood quickly and doesn't let up until the ending.
Quid Pro Quo >> Introduces us to an unusual new world of people and has a nice mysterious tone, but doesn't have as much depth as it should have.
