Review of Winter Passing (2006) by James K — 10 Aug 2010
It starts out depressing, and Zooey Deschanel's performance keeps it there for most of the film, but it somehow ends on a positive, yet realistic note. The little journey that Reese has with these three strange characters really helps her grow into a realization that life has meaning, and a positive one at that.
Will Ferrell plays his usual self, but he actually seems like a regular guy, not a washed up ABA player or an idiot NASCAR driver. I really enjoyed Amelia Warner as Shelly.
