Review of Winter Passing (2006) by Sarah B — 22 Jan 2007
I am not sure about the classification of this film as a 'dramatic comedy', I found it to be dark and profound. A story of an estranged daughter who fled from her writer-parents in her teens, to return in her mid twenties to find her inheritance from her mother for monetary sake.
She plans on selling her parents letters to each other, as her acting career is struggling. The character development is beautiful, the casting of Ed Harris is perfect, and Will Farrell does a decent job of the quirky live in caretaker.
Amelia Warner is believable and Zooey Deschanel is as good as always.
