Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Marco C — 27 Jul 2011
Short, simple, and irresistibly sweet, there isn't a more beautiful movie to be found this summer than Winnie the Pooh. It's not another shameless money-making sequel ploy for Disney but a funny, thoughtful, and loving return to the familiar landscape of the Hundred Acre Wood.
It's also a very welcome return to hand drawn animation with water color backgrounds that look stunning. But more than anything else, it's nice to spend time in theaters with Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends again.
