Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Matthew C — 02 Aug 2011

I wanted to like this movie more than I did. It hearkens back to the original in style, obviously and conscientiously. But the characters aren't quite right. Pooh and Eeyore are good, but the voice work and scripting on the others is merely close.

Rabbit is probably the worst because he sounds and behaves like Sponge Bob. Everyone has gotten a little stupider which is probably why Pooh still feels right. He didn't have very far to go.
