Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Simon P — 14 May 2012
Classic old-school animated movie (and thankfully not a hint of 3D), but the feature feels very short in comparison to Disney's 1977 anthology The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, which is ironic given that they only used one story here. Perhaps the anthology format better suits Pooh?
My only major gripe is John Cleese as The Narrator. His voice just doesn't work with Winnie The Pooh, they needed a Morgan Freeman. But not Morgan Freeman because he equally wouldn't work. We should resurrect Sebastian Cabot.
